The penultimate race of the 2011 ADAC GT Masters season will take place in Assen, Netherlands next weekend. The 2.83 miles (4.555km) long track has 17 turns with the longest straight being 970 m long.

Christopher Haase (23) from Kulmbach will compete with his partner, Swede Andreas Simonsen (21), in a Team Phoenix Racing AUDI R8 LMS.

“I am looking forward to the track in the Netherlands. In 2008 I won a double victory there. Assen is a pretty smooth track which will be ideal for our Audi R8,” says Christopher Haase who took part in the 24h of Berlin 2011 last weekend. His team, Phoenix, participated with three karts. And DTM pilot Rahel Frey from Switzerland competed for points in one of them.

German TV station Kabel 1 will broadcast the races live on Saturday and Sunday from 11:45 a.m. TV station Sport 1 will show highlights of the racing weekend at the TT Circuit in Assen on September 23rd, 2011 from 5:30 p.m.
