Christopher Haase . ADAC GT Masters 2011The first race of the 2011 ADAC GT Masters will take place in Oschersleben next weekend. Christopher Haase (23) from Kirchleus will drive an Audi R8 LMS for successful team Phoenix Racing and will compete in a record-breaking field of 44 currently registered cars. Haase won the 2009 FIA GT3 European Championship title with Phoenix and the car.

This season he will share the car with Swede Andreas Simonsen (21) who won the 2010 SEAT Leon Supercopa championship title.

“I am happy to be working with Team Phoenix again. The team is very professional and such an environment makes motorsports real fun. My new partner, Andreas Simonsen, is very fast and ambitious. And I am confident that we will be competing in the top group. It’s difficult to predict the challenging field in this year’s championship. But I think we will see next weekend, who our competitors are,” says Christopher Haase.

The team and the pilots have already done a few tests with the AUDI R8 LMS this year with good results.

German TV station Kabel1 will broadcast the ADAC GT Masters races live.
