Christopher Haase: Start of the Season with Debut in Dubai |
|
Preliminary Report
Dunlop 24h Dubai
January 13th – 15th, 2011
23-year old Christopher Haase from Upper Franconia is no longer a newcomer and has made his mark in motor sports with his performance in the cockpits of several GT cars. However, so far he has never participated in the 24h Dubai race. In 2011, the Dubai Autodrome at the Persian Gulf attracts racers from all over the world for the sixth time. Haase will compete in two separate categories. “I am looking forward to being in the cockpit again and I am excited to see what is going to happen”, he says.
His experience with long distances with team Lingmann Motorsport and the established contact between the team and Christopher Haase made it possible for the 23-year old to race for Besaplast Racing Team. Especially noteworthy is the commitment of Besaplast und its managing director, Franjo Kovac, who will also participate in Dubai. Lingmann Motorsport will provide technical support for the 24h race next week.
Christopher Haase is in good company. He will share a Porsche 997 Cup with Roland Asch (GER), Martin Tschornia (GER), Sebastian Asch (GER) and Kurt Thiim from Denmark. His partners in the BMW Mini Cooper S will be Franjo Kovac (GER, Besaplast), Martin Tschornia (GER) again, Cora Schumacher (GER) and Rainald Mattes (GER). “We will definitely fight for the overall top 5 with the Porsche. With the Mini we will try to win in its category”, Haase says about his goals.
The race will be streamed live at www.live.24hseries.com and will be broadcast on MOTORS TV on February 22nd, 2011.
