FIA GT1 World Championship
Paris, March 1st, 2010
FIA GT1 World Championship pilot Christopher Haase (22) and his colleagues attended the official launch of the World Championship in Paris on March 1st, 2010. FIA President Jean Todt opened the event at the Automobil Club de France. Jean Todt said that he was satisfied with the development of the sports car championship. “I am looking forward to the new FIA GT1 World Championship.”
After the press conference Jean Todt and Stephane Ratel (SRO Motorsports Group founder and CEO) unveiled the GT1 cars in superb weather at the Place Vendôme. During the event all pilots showed their support for “The Campaign for Global Road Safety” by providing their signatures.
In the FIA GT1 2010 current FIA GT3 European Champion, Haase, is going to drive a Lamborghini Murcielago for team Reiter Engineering with his partner Peter Kox (NED). On February 21st/22nd attendance at the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit was already compulsory for the teams. There the official Balance of Performance tests for the cars were held.
Until then native Frank Christopher Haase did not even get a chance to think about a winter break. In addition to his GT1 test drives Haase helped Reiter Engineering to further develop the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3.
The World Championship kicks off at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on April 17th.
